Carl and Suzanne 22.12.22
“A Peak Edge Hotel winter wedding? Yes please!!“
I was over the moon when Carl and Suzanne asked me to capture their big day, and when I heard about their lovely ideas of a winter wedding close to Christmas, I knew it was going to be an amazing day.
I arrived at the venue early on the morning of the wedding to find Suzanne and her bridal party getting ready in the Devonshire suite. Hair and makeup were in full swing and the bottles of bubbly were being opened. There was excitement and laugher as the girls got ready and I was able to capture some fantastic natural shots of the group.
Suzanne looked absolutely stunning as she got into her Essence of Australia Alexa wedding dress and her fathers face lit up the room when he walked in to see her – his smile said it all.
I nipped down to the ceremony room to find Carl and his brother nervously waiting at the front for the ceremony to begin. Family and friends had now taken their seats and the room looked amazing, it was just awaiting Suzanne’s big arrival.
Suzanne walked down the aisle with her proud father towards a beaming but emotional Carl, it was one of those perfect moments that I love to capture and makes all the hard work worth while. It was a wonderful ceremony full of happy tears as this fabulous couple said their “I do’s” in the presence of their family and friends.
It was then time for some cracking speeches and more happy tears rounded off with an evening full of dancing, singing and lots of booze – a perfect day!
Thank you for asking me to capture your wedding. I’m so glad I got to be a part of it and I wish you both all the best … Matt
