Friday 2nd November 2018

The West Mill, Derby

When I first visited this industrial style wedding venue a few weeks prior to 2nd November, I certainly thought it had all the wow factors – and with a fantastic couple like Emma and Calum – I knew we were all set for an incredible day.

It was a beautiful sunny morning on the day of the wedding and I headed up to the venue to meet Emma and her bridal party – lots of which were hair and make up artists – what better way to get ready than with amazing friends doing your hair and make up, a few bottles of Prosecco and a brilliant atmosphere.

It was then time for the the groomsmen to arrive at the venue. Calum was slightly nervous but nothing compared to the best men who I can safely say were panicking about their speeches – nothing a bit of dutch courage wouldn’t sort out eh lads.

I then headed back up to Emma as she was in the final stages of getting into her dress – she looked absolutely stunning and her dads reaction said it all.

As the sun shone through the sash windows, and in the presence of family and friends – a perfect ceremony went ahead filled with love and emotion.

It was then time for the reception and we were lucky enough to get a few minutes outside with the bride and groom to capture some great shots in the Autumn sunshine.

Sparklers and lots of dancing finished an amazing day surrounded by the ones closest to you – I wish you both a fantastic future and thank you for letting me be part of your day……Matt
