Hazel Gap Barn – Nottinghamshire
Sunday 30th June 2019
Hazel Gap Barn is one of my favourite venues and when Emma contacted me about her upcoming wedding, I naturally jumped at the chance. Emma had planned this wedding down to the finest detail and I was very excited to have the chance to capture the big day.
I met Emma and her bridal party at a luxury lodge at the Sherwood Hideaway, they were enjoying Prosecco and strawberry’s whilst having makeup and hair done. The mood was super chilled and after a few pics in the lodge, Emma was helped into her beautiful dress by her bridesmaids. I glanced up and watched her mums proud face as her dress was being laced up.

I arrived at the venue in enough time to speak with Myles, who if anyone knows him was Mr Cool as Ice – he was stood with his dad who was adjusting his button hole and the atmosphere was lovely.
After a few quick shots of their dogs – Skye and Fern (shortly before they destroyed the flowers, haha) – it was time for Emmas arrival in a very stylish split screen camper van. I quickly made my way inside to watch her walk down the aisle to a very smiley Myles.
The ceremony was wonderful and we then headed outside for some group pictures in the blazing sunshine. The BBQ was lit and the smell of food filled the air as we finished off with the pictures.
Some fantastic speeches and a well choreographed first dance capped off an amazing wedding day and paved the way for the evening guests and a night of partying.
It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding. I wish you both all the best guys…………. Matt
