Norwood Park Wedding Venue, Nottinghamshire
Saturday 8th June 2019
I’ve known Laura for many years now and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I knew it would be an absolute pleasure. Laura said that she text me the same day that Barry had proposed to her because she loves my work! It’s nice to know I’m doing a good job!
Barry and Laura are a genuinely lovely couple and when I met up with them for their pre shoot, there was so much smiling and laughter. I knew their wedding was going to be a great day,
The weather was a bit grim on the morning of the wedding but the forecast showed it would brighten up so I was happy that I should get all their requested shots.
I went to see Laura and her bridal party as they were getting ready at Lauras mums house and got a few snaps of them getting their hair and make up done.
Lauras was then helped into her dress which was stunning and I loved how twinkly it was – she looked absolutely stunning and I could see her mum was very proud,
I shot over to Norwood Park and met up with Barry and his groomsmen who were just greeting some guests at the venue.
Norwood Park is stunning and grand in design, it has a large staircase which had caught my eye on a previous recce I had done and I’d hoped we might be able to use this for a few shots at some point during the day.
After a wonderful ceremony, we played dodge the rain to capture some shots in the beautiful grounds before it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
I’ve heard quite a few wedding speeches in my time but I have to admit that the best man speech really did make me laugh along with Bruce Forsyth making an appearance (ok – he didn’t but everyone there will know what I mean).
So did the sun come out in the end? Hell yeah it did and we managed to nail some amazing shots which I am soon to deliver over to you… Enjoy the Honeymoon and I wish you both all the best……… Matt
