All Saints Church/Lumb Farm, Derbyshire
“We’re getting married in a church” were the words Matt and Linda said to me on their pre-meet and this was like music to my ears, as I love a traditional wedding ceremony and the overall atmosphere.
On the morning of the wedding, I went to see Linda who was having her make-up finished off by Hannah from the Hair Room. She looked every part the bride in her ‘bride’ kimono and ‘bride to be’ slippers and was super relaxed as she got ready for the big event.
I then received a phone call from my second photographer Giles to say that the traffic to the church was gridlocked so it was officially all systems go from then on. After dumping my car and hot footing it to church, I arrived to see Linda looking absolutely stunning in her dress and all ready to walk down the aisle.
The ceremony was beautiful and we had one very emotional bride (happy tears, of course).
It was then down to Lumb Farm for the reception and a chance for me to walk around with the newlyweds and take some photo’s in the grounds, there may have been a moment where a certain bride got stuck on a gate but we’ll not mention that – whoops!
The evening was kicked off by a song from the bride that wowed us all and then it was a night of tunes and dancing courtesy of DJ Matt.
A lovely wedding all round – congratulations to the amazing couple and thank you for letting us be part of your day ….
